A Warm Welcome for Brother Sean: A Night of Fellowship at Aldershot Army & Navy Lodge

Last Thursday, we had the pleasure of welcoming Sean, our newest brother, into the Lodge. The Worshipful Master, W Bro Charles, along with his dedicated team, put a lot of effort into preparing for this special evening, making sure Sean’s initiation was memorable and full of warmth – and they definitely succeeded. It was a flawless ceremony.

We were also delighted to host five visiting members from the Household Division Lodge No. 9545. Their presence brought extra warmth to the evening, reminding us of the strong bonds we share across Lodges and Military Lodges in particular. Their good company and lively stories added something special to the night, and we’re truly grateful for their friendship.

The evening continued with a festive board full of laughter and celebration, with a particularly joyful moment as we celebrated W Bro Robin Maddy’s 90th birthday. Robin was presented with a bottle of Champagne and chocolates in honour of his milestone, and it was wonderful to share such a happy occasion with him.

One especially touching part of the festive board was seeing three generations of the Acott family together – Bro Geoff, Bro Simon, and Bro Harry.

In all, it was an evening that captured the spirit of our Lodge – full of camaraderie, respect, and celebration. Many thanks to everyone who helped make it such a memorable night, and here’s to many more like it. Our next regular meeting is on the 12th December and will be a double Raising ceremony.
