The Royal Arch

Discover More

The Royal Arch is regarded as the fourth part of Pure Antient Masonry, completing the journey that begins in the Craft. It reveals the continuation of the Masonic story and deepens the understanding of the principles first learned as an Entered Apprentice, Fellow Craft and Master Mason.

Membership is open to all Master Masons of at least four weeks standing who wish to continue their journey. There is no need to have been through the Chair of your Lodge before joining – only the desire to learn more and take the next step in Freemasonry.

The Royal Arch offers a new perspective on the lessons of the Craft. Its colourful and inspiring ceremony promotes reflection, friendship and shared discovery. Through it, Companions complete their Masonic journey and gain a deeper appreciation of the harmony and unity that underpin Freemasonry.

Connaught Chapter No.1971

Connaught Chapter No. 1971 is a friendly and welcoming Royal Arch Chapter of around forty members who meet twice each year – on the third Friday in January and the third Friday in September – at the Farnborough Masonic Centre.

Our Companions come from a variety of Lodges, bringing a wide mix of experience and friendship, yet the Chapter maintains a particularly strong connection with the Aldershot Army & Navy Lodge No. 1971.

Annual dues are approximately £45, and visitors and joining Companions alike will find a warm atmosphere and genuine fellowship at every meeting.
